What Our Families Say

As a parent, I can say that no words quite capture how grateful we are to have found Imaginarium daycare for our 17-month-old daughter. Our family joined in October 2024 as I began to prepare to work following a 12-month maternity leave. Like many first-time parents, we approached this milestone with a mix of excitement and trepidation — but, from the very first day, Chanju and her team of caregivers have put us at ease, providing us the opportunity to gradually integrate into full-time care over 4 weeks, and we could not be happier with our decision!

Firstly, the team at Imaginarium is truly spectacular; they are attentive and deeply engaged in understanding and supporting our child's unique needs. They strike a beautiful balance between warmth and structure, offering gentle, respectful guidance while setting clear boundaries that help our child feel safe and supported as she learns to navigate social situations.  

Communication with the team is also outstanding! We receive weekly newsletters that give a window into the week’s rhythms and themes, and the day-to-day updates through the Story Park app—complete with photos and videos — are a treasured part of our routine. We have also been provided with a comprehensive developmental progress summary (similar to a report card!) highlighting milestones and any areas where additional support may be required; these thoughtful insights and summaries help us stay connected to our daughter's day and helps to continue to guide conversations and enhance learning opportunities at home. 

Another aspect we appreciate is their emphasis on nature-based play which happens in Chanju's back yard (with chickens and fun toys galore!) and out on the land at various parks including the Swan Lake Nature Sanctuary which is just minutes from Imaginarium's home base. In addition, we deeply value the variety of nutritious snacks provided daily and that Imaginarium participates in a government grant funding program which reduces our monthly childcare fees substantially, making their high quality care more accessible to our family and an added relief in the current economic climate. What also stands out is the daycare’s inclusivity and intentional celebration of diverse cultures and holidays. It’s meaningful to us that our daughter is growing up in a space where different traditions are honored with care and joy.

When we turn our car into the driveway each weekday morning, our daughter lights up with excitement and is eager to get inside to see her friends and to start playing. At the end of the day, she comes home tired and happy, with dirt under her fingernails and new words in her vocabulary. Needless to say, it’s very clear to us that her days are rich with exploration, learning, and laughter and, that she loves being part of this child care center.
